*Each week, I’m taking idea to action from the podcast with a challenge.  There’s a lot I could have chosen to focus on from this one, but my conversation with Dr. Lekkos inspired me to focus on the way I talk to myself.*

Your words matter.

Raise your hand if you have a little inner biatch who likes to bring you down.

[hand raised]

S/he tells you you’re not good enough, ugly, unloved and unlovable, not worthy of greatness, you suck at your job or life in general…they pigeon hole you into some small definition of you.

We are strivers. We want to be good.

But what if our best was good enough? What if we didn’t always think of the ways we could have done it better?

Don’t get me wrong, I think we should shoot for the stars, but I think we can do it in a kinder, more compassionate way AND get better outcomes.

I am beyond guilty of this, so I invite you to join me in this week’s challenge to decrease negative self-talk to improve our relationship with ourselves, which…lightbulb moment…impacts our health.

    Here’s what’s going down – it’s SUPER simple and will take you 3 minutes…

    • NOTICE Start noticing when you feel a bit off and start talking yourself down. This part is not easy and will take a conscious effort from you to pause & notice.
    • JOURNALING
      • Morning:
        • write down 3 things you like about yourself
        • and 3 things you’re grateful for
      • Evening:
        • write down everything…EVERYTHING you accomplished in the day
        • and 1 way you could have been an inch kinder to yourself

Join the challenge by posting on social with #howwelllivechallenge or shoot me an email to let me know how it goes (I know social media can feel a bit too public for that :))

I’ll pop in on the podcast to share my results soon!
